2005 Crops Conference has been canceled

LUBBOCK, Texas – Farm Press Publications has canceled the 2005 Southwest Crops Production Conference, originally scheduled for February 8 in the Lubbock Civic Center.

Farm Press Publications publisher Greg Frey said conflicts with other trade shows, regional meetings and seminars promised to erode exhibitor support and attendance. ‘It was a decision based on economics,” Frey said.

“We regret having to cancel this event,” said Ron Smith, editor of Southwest Farm Press. “We’ve enjoyed offering this seminar to Southern Plains farmers for the past few years and giving them an opportunity to pick up last minute production details just before planting. We always had positive response from attendees.

“We hope to provide some of that same information through the pages of Southwest Farm Press and through our various Internet and Website projects. We’ll let folks know when to look for these opportunities.”
