2011 Lease negotiation program to be held Oct 4 in Henrietta
A lease negotiation program will be held at the Rock Building in Henrietta, Texas, at 5 p.m. Oct. 4, according to Missy Hodgin, Texas AgriLife Extension Service agriculture and natural resources agent in Clay County.
The address of the Rock Building is 100 E Wichita St. Sponsors of the event are AgriLife Extension-Clay County, the Clay County Chamber of Commerce and Ag Workers Insurance.
The featured speaker will be Judon Fambrough, attorney with the Texas Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University specializing in oil and gas, wind power, hunting leases and landowner liability. He travels the state lecturing on the intricacies of Texas law and has authored more than 300 publications.
At the meeting, Hodgin said Fambrough will discuss negotiating an oil and gas lease and landowner liability with emphasis on hunting lease negotiation.
Fambrough will discuss the different parts of an effective oil and gas lease and items that should be addressed during the hunting-lease negotiations. This list of items is neither pro-hunter nor pro-landowner, but rather a list of issues that needs to be settled before a hunting lease is entered, Hodgin said.
The cost of the program will be $15 per person and will include a meal. An
RSVP is requested by Sept. 30. To RSVP or find out more information, contact
Hodgin at the AgriLife Extension office at 940-538-5042 or at email@example.com.
