2012 Peanut Expo theme is “Preparing for the year ahead”

Discussion of a peanut revenue protection proposal will highlight the 2012 Peanut Expo, scheduled March 16 at the Quartz Mountain Resort in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma.
Clif Parks, AgriLogic, College Station, Texas, will discuss a new peanut insurance program that guarantees a level of revenue.
Other conference highlights include a marketing update by Tyron Spearman, editor of Peanut Market News. U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe will conduct a town hall meeting with peanuts and the Oklahoma State University peanut team will provide a “recipe for success in 2012.”
The national Peanut Board will provide a “year in Review” on board activities and initiatives.
Participants also will have an opportunity to visit with industry exhibitors. Registration is free. Lunch will be provided courtesy of participating southwest shellers. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day-long session.
