4-1-1 on rangeland herbicides webinar to be held Nov. 3
How much to spray, what to spray, when to spray? Many questions arise when landowners need to treat rangeland weeds, and Dr. Alyson McDonald, Texas AgriLife Extension Service range specialist in Fort Stockton, will answer some of those questions during a webinar Nov. 3.
“The 4-1-1 on Rangeland Herbicides” is part of a series of webinars being offered by AgriLife Extension’s ecosystem science and management unit from noon to 1 p.m. every first Thursday of the month.
These webinars are designed for anyone concerned with range management seeking education from their home or office. This webinar, as well as others in the series, can be accessed at http://naturalresourcewebinars.tamu.edu/.
This webinar qualifies for one laws and regulations pesticide license continuing education unit, according to McDonald. During the webinar, McDonald will answer common rangeland herbicide questions such as “When can I spray?”, “Are there grazing restrictions?” and “Do I really need to use a surfactant?”
McDonald provides technical assistance and expertise to AgriLife Extension county agents, landowners and livestock producers in the Far West, West Central and portions of the South Plains regions of Texas.
The next webinar after McDonald's will be “Online Resources for Plant ID and Management” to be presented by Dr. Megan Dominguez from Corpus Christi on Dec.1.
