Veterinarians, animal scientists and breeders are invited to the Applied Reproductive Strategies in Beef Cattle meeting at College Station on Nov. 12-13.

The meeting will be at the Memorial Student Center at Texas A&M University.

Ovulation synchronization and timed artificial insemination — or bringing cattle into heat so that they can all be artificially inseminated at one time — will be discussed. The pharmacological tools for both have evolved rapidly during the last few years, said Dr. Gary Williams, professor of animal science with the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station. The meeting will provide up-to-date information on reproductive strategies.

The meeting will begin at 8 a.m. both days. Lunch will be provided; the cost is included in the registration fee. The fee is $200 for those pre-registering by Oct. 1 and $250 afterwards. To register online for the conference, go to http://animalscience.tamu.edu, and click the meeting line.
