Southwest Farm Press has a new associate editor, Christian “Chris” Bennett, who joined the staff May 29.

“We're pleased to have Chris as a member of the Farm Press team,” says Hembree Brandon, editorial director, “and we look forward to his contributions to keeping our publications No. 1 in the Sunbelt.”

A native of Helena, Ark., Bennett grew up overseas, returning to the U.S. to earn his B.S. degree at Missouri State University.

He has worked in a variety of environments abroad and in the U.S., including high school teaching positions in Jerusalem and Arkansas. Most recently, he has been writer/editor for international publications based in Springfield, Mo.

He and his wife, Leslie, have two children, Kate and Jon Jackson.

Farm Press publishes Western Farm Press, Southeast Farm Press, Delta Farm Press, and Southwest Farm Press, Farm Press Daily e-newsletters, plus annual digests and other special interest publications, and provides Farm Press University, which offers a number of specialized online continuing education courses for agriculture professionals.
