Farm and ranch management seminar set for Dec. 12 in Alpine
The Texas AgriLife Extension Service will conduct the fourth in a series of farm and ranch management seminars from 9:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 12 in the Sul Ross State University Range Animal Science Building located on East U.S. Highway 90 in Alpine.
The seminars are being conducted by the AgriLife Extension offices in Presidio and Brewster/Jeff Davis counties.
The seminar, Managing the Farm and Ranch as a Business IV: Building a Business Plan, will feature AgriLife Extension economists Rob Hogan and Bill Thompson from Fort Stockton and San Angelo, respectively.
Hogan and Thompson will discuss business plans and why they are needed, along with their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. They will also discuss the importance of resource inventories.
Individual registration is $10 due upon arrival to the seminar.
