With passage of the Agriculture Act of 2014, the nation’s farmers and ranchers now have a farm program and a safety net in place to provide assistance with yield and market losses.

The new program marks a significant turn from the old farm programs and features significant reliance on crop insurance. Farmers have options and decisions will need to be made based on individual farm and crop choices.
