More rain needed for Texas rice producers, observers say

Rain has come to some parts of Texas but not to those that store rice irrigation water. The result is Texas rice acreage could be down by 90,000 if more rain doesn’t come between now and March. Texas A&M’s Larry Falconer discussed the dire situation facing rice producers at the USA Rice Federation Outlook Conference in Austin, Texas.
