TSCRA encourages ranchers to have cattle inspected

Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association encourages all ranchers whose cattle were on burned pasture to have their cattle inspected by a veterinarian for burns and other trauma from fires.

It is critical to have cattle inspected immediately as life threatening conditions, difficult to diagnose without training, may occur within two to three days of the fire.

Ranchers in the Bowie area can have their cattle inspected free of charge at the Cross Timbers Veterinary Clinic. The clinic can be reached at 940-872-2161.

Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association is a 131-year-old trade organization and is the largest livestock association in Texas. TSCRA has more than 15,000 members who manage approximately 4 million head of cattle on 51.5 million acres of range and pasture land, primarily in Texas and Oklahoma. TSCRA provides law enforcement services, livestock inspection, legislative and regulatory advocacy and educational opportunities for its members.
