Christmas in Texas is TPPA highlight

Barron Rector, Texas AgriLife Extension Specialist, conducts a pest identification contest at the annual Texas Plant Protection Conference. The contest is a highlight of the event, as much for Rector’s comedic commentary concerning the quality, or lack of, in the entries as much as determining who claims the prize as best at identifying a variety of disease, insect and weed pests common to Texas farm and rangeland.

A highlight of the awards luncheon, which is held just a week or so before Christmas, is Rector’s rendition of Christmas in Texas. This year, we recorded the presentation, with Rector’s permission, and offer it to Farm Press readers.

Happy Holidays!
