A diversified Rowena farmer and rancher took home honors as Texas Farm Bureau’s 2010 Outstanding Young Farmer and Rancher.
Paul Minzenmayer, 29, and wife, Monica, were selected over two other finalists at the 77thannual convention of the state’s largest farm organization in Waco. Runners-up were Justin and Barbi Dauer, who farm and ranch in Panhandle, and Michael and Leigh Welch, who farm and ranch near Troy.
The annual competition recognizes the accomplishments of some of Texas’ top young agricultural leaders and rewards them for all the hard work and determination needed to succeed in this ever-changing industry.
