Wheat Producers’ Conference planned Aug. 10

Wheat producers in the Amarillo area can get an update on everything from diseases to insects and markets to variety-trial results at the upcoming Wheat Producers’ Conference on Aug. 10.

Registration will begin at 8 a.m. at the Texas AgriLife Research and Extension Center, 6500 W. Amarillo Blvd.

The program will include four Texas AgriLife Extension Service specialists from Amarillo providing updates in their fields of expertise. Kody Bessent, Texas Wheat Producers Board and Association executive assistant, will provide the latest information from that organization.

Three continuing education units – one general and two integrated pest management – will be offered at the completion of the meeting.

Refreshments will be courtesy of the wheat association and board.
