New pecan variety available to US producers

Producers across the U.S. Pecan Belt and around the world have a new pecan variety to choose from which offers improved yields and good resistance to pecan scab disease. The new variety called Lipan was released by the USDA’s Agricultural Research Service (ARS) in College Station, Texas.
