19th Annual Texas Plant Protection Conference scheduled for December 4 & 5 in College Station

The 19th Annual Texas Plant Protection Conference program is scheduled December 4 and 5 at the Hilton Inn and Conference Center in College Station.
“This conference is the leading crop production conference in the Southwest and has continually attracted outstanding speakers and topics of interest to all involved in agriculture. This year’s outstanding program will be both informational and educational for all attending,” says Doug Pustejovsky, Field Advisor with Monsanto Company, D & P L Southwest Business and the Texas Plant Protection Association (TPPA) President.
The morning General Session will include topics such as the impact of bio-fuels on Texas Agriculture and updates on the new farm bill.
Concurrent sessions during the conference will include latest research on future technologies, new products, and new scientific advances. Problems facing future water affect our state’s field crops, vegetables and turf industries.
More than 30 agribusinesses will help sponsor the conference and will have displays available with information on their products and services.
During the annual Business Meeting and Awards Luncheon, the 2007 TPPA Awards will be presented to those who have made major contributions to TPPA and to Texas agriculture.
Continuing Education Credits (CEU’s) are offered during the conference for Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) Commercial Pesticide Applicator License and for Certified Crop Advisers (CCA).
