At this writing, the Texas Gulf wheat basis is 23 cents compared to last year’s 55 cents and the five-year average of 53 cents. Fever tick quarantine expanded in Zapata County

At least 50 premises in Zapata County are in a temporary preventive quarantine area designated August 29 to prevent the spread of the cattle fever tick.
