Bi-National Ranchers Conference in Laredo

Ranchers from both sides of the border are invited to attend the Bi-National Ranchers Conference on June 24-25 at the Embassy Suites, 110 Calle Del Norte, in Laredo. The conference will be 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Wed., June 24 and 8:30 a.m. to noon on Thurs., June 25.
The conference topics include:
- Basics of Prescribed Burning
- Management Intensive Grazing in South Texas
- Balancing Livestock and Wildlife
- Exotic Grass Management on Rangeland
- Current Issues in Beef Cattle Genetics
- Livestock Supplementation During Drought
- Animal Health Issues in Mexican Livestock
- Update on Texas Fever Tick Eradication Program
- USDA-NRCS Cattle Fever Tick Initiative
- South Texas Buck Capture Project
The USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Webb Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) and Texas AgriLife Extension Service would like to thank the following for helping sponsor the two day workshops: Texas/Mexico Border Coalition CBO, BBVA Compass, Asociación Ganadera Local de Nuevo Laredo, ANGADI, Rio Bravo Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D), and Grazing Lands Conservation Initiative (GLCI).
Registration is $25 and includes social and evening meal on June 24. Three continuing education units (CEUs) in the general category will be offered to attendees.
