USA Rice Federation’s Hensley appointed to biotechnology panel

Steve Hensley, USA Rice Federation’s senior director for regulatory affairs, has been appointed to be a member of USDA’s Advisory Committee on Biotechnology and 21st Century Agriculture. The appointment was announced by Michael Schechtman, executive secretary of the panel.

AC21 provides information and advice to the USDA secretary on issues related to agricultural biotechnology.

The other new members include Jamie Jonker, regulatory affairs director for the National Milk Producers Federation, and Steven Leath, University of North Carolina vice president for research, Schechtman said in an e-mail announcement.
