Plains Cotton Growers hear updates on challenges, opportunities for 2008

Plains Cotton Growers Inc., President Mike Hughes told participants in the 51st annual meeting in early April that the last 12 months have brought some of the most “challenging and frustrating times” in recent memory for High Plains cotton farmers.

“We need to work to keep U.S. agricultural policy on track and maintain the basics of one of the best farm programs ever,” Hughes said in his president's address.

The annual meeting featured updates from Washington, risk management specialists and research efforts. Below is a collage of photos from the annual meeting.
