Finding solutions to agricultural problems is the mission of the ARS, the research arm of the USDA. To let the public know the many projects in which they are involved, an Ag Science Field Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 18 at the KSARC North Farm in Weslaco, Texas.

The agri-business community, farmers and students will be interested in the projects to be demonstrated:

Remote sensing, bio-control, boll weevil research, commodity quality and quarantine, honeybees, and organic farming.

Those attending will be taken by hay wagons to the various demonstration sites. The field day, which is free, offers CEU credits and also includes lunch.
