Storage Facility Manager, Supercheap Self Storage Sydney ~ we bring the portable storage units to your location anywhere in Sydney, Australia.

Skills: innovation and conceptualisation

Career Summary:

Edward Carl Thirlwall has come a long way since starting up the Supercheap Storage brand in 2008. He currently heads the Sydney Easter Suburbs Storage facility and continues to forge forward to make new advancements in the self storage industry for himself and his company.

He recalls some pivotal points in the businesses relatively short history and that includes the moment when the managers signed the lease on the current facility in the Sydney Eastern Suburbs. It was truly a great moment because it was a huge change from what they had before in terms of size and capacity! It was BIG - which is all the better to serve the Australian in the surrounding neighbourhood.

Supercheap Storage prides itself on having a weatherproof facility where the mobile storage units are taken care of as if it were our own belongings in there. No matter what the season, the storage units are kept clean and dry within the warehouse and are hoisted up by a small fleet of earnest fork-lifts so that the humidity and moisture can be prevented from collecting around the base of the units.

Not only their position of storage but also the material of the Supercheap Storage units are much different from the aluminium sorts and storage rooms that you would normally see at our competitors’ facilities. Because ours are portable, they need to be lightweight. That’s why we’ve got them specially constructed out of industrial quality plywood - so we can carry Mobile storage Modules Sydney right to where you are and save you the hassle of lugging all your items down to some far away premises.

At the same time, since the containers are MADE of sturdy plywood, there is an additional benefit of breathability with the material! What does it mean for the material to be breathable? Well, the plywood is porous - that means that air can flow in and out of the storage unit even while it’s sealed. In the traditional aluminium units, unless they were climate controlled, moisture had a high chance of building up against the walls which were impermeable and the items within are more susceptible to mould, mildew and decay.

Not so with our storage units! And just for that added peace of mind for you, we also have climate controlled storage if you feel you need an extra layer of protection for your items.

Edward also recalls when they realised that business was doing so well that they had to expand their fleet of transportation vehicles! They bought new trucks which could support three storage units each. With less vehicles having to navigate through traffic and the combined space available on the new trucks, the storage units were arriving together at the customers’ destinations and it translated to even quicker and more reliable storage services.

With all that’s going on in our Storage warehouses, we have no doubt that we’ve got a lot of very happy and satisfied customers who wouldn’t hesitate to store with us again. With less costs and expenditure when you hire with Supercheap storage Sydney Facility, you don’t have to worry about any other storage problems again!
