Water, air protection symposium set April 1-3

The Great Plains Foundation, which has headquarters in Dodge City, Kan., will host a three-day air and water resource utilization symposium, April 1-3 at the Ambassador hotel in Amarillo, Texas.

The meeting kicks off with registration and a reception at 6 p.m. Student posters also will be on display.

The symposium features a Tuesday seminar on protecting and using water resources, regulations and a tour of nearby research and commercial operations.

Wednesday's schedule includes air quality protection and a panel discussion on the potential to harvest the wind for energy.

Registration fee, $50 early and $60 after March 15, includes luncheons Tuesday and Wednesday as well as the Tuesday afternoon tour.
