Congress has begun crafting the 2007 Farm Bill, and Congressman Randy Neugebauer is hosting a series of forums in order to get input from area farmers on what this important policy should look like.
"The current farm bill has been a success, providing support for our nation's farmers while coming in under budget," said Neugebauer. "At these forums, I want to get feedback from 19th District producers so that Congress can build on current policies and write a 2007 Farm Bill that works even better for West Texas agriculture."
West Texas producers will have the opportunity to discuss the 2007 Farm Bill with Neugebauer at three April forums. The first forum will take place on Monday, April 9 at the Ollie Liner Center in Plainview from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A second forum will be held the next day, April 10, in Seminole at 10:00 a.m. at the Old City Hall. Neugebauer will then travel to Abilene Wednesday, April 11, where he will host the week's final forum at the Texas Cooperative Extension Office from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
